Now is the time to review mid-year sales results.  Pull out your calendar right now, schedule time for your mid-year check-up.  Make sure you schedule enough time for a thorough review and appraisal.

Consider the following questions.

  • Have you met goals you set in the 1st and 2nd quarter?  How do you feel about your results so far?
  • What do the YTD sales numbers reveal about your business and the marketplace?
  • Is Marketing generating the desired results? Why? Why not?
  • Are you thrilled with the experience prospects are having, from a sales perspective? Why, why not?
  • What sales skills have you (your salespeople) developed over the past six months?
  • Reflect on personal goals for the past 6 months. Write down what you consider Wins and Losses.  Make sure you’ve properly celebrated the Wins, and learned from and let go of the Losses.
  •  How’s motivation, are you on track or losing energy and passion?

When you get your answers to these questions, turn your focus to the next six months  and consider … What will you continue doing?  What will you start doing?  What will you stop doing?
