This inspiring 7-minute TED video, Every Kid Needs a Champion, is inspiring on many fronts but for those of us who work day in and day out with employees, there is a powerful message to be gained.
Similar to teachers, we show up each day and work one-on-one and in groups with employees (sometimes we wonder if they aren’t kids). We mentor, coach and provide direction for them so that they can be the best they can be and we sometimes feel as if our employees stretch us to be the best we can be as well.
No business can be successful without employees and no employee can truly reach his/her potential without a manager who cares and sees potential in his/her employees. Be that manager this week and watch what happens!
