What are you focused on these days?    What is it that is driving your behavior?   What results are you getting or not getting these days?

David Whyte in his book, Crossing the Unknown Sea: Work as a Pilgrimage of Identity, talks about work as a “journey and a pilgrimage in which the core elements of our being are tested in the world.”  He states that “wherever we work, we need courage both to remember what we are about and re-imagine ourselves (who we want to be) while we are doing it.”

Knowing why you do what you do sustains motivation, increases energy and directs your attention to create the life and work you desire.   On a day-to-day basis, know what the ‘right’ behaviors are that create success for you.   Stay focused on those activities, celebrate your successes and remember, your work is a reflection of who you are and who you want to be!
